Some light amongst the darkness

I was contacted last week by somebody from the US who follows us on Twitter. They said they would like to make a donation towards our books in schools.

I spoke more with them and to some schools and it worked out that 10 schools will receive a full set of books and almost 1000 children will be able to access their own book at less than half price.

The person in question wants to remain anonymous but wanted to make the donation as they loved what we were doing in trying to encourage children to read books and they also wanted to support our work as an independent author.

The donation is made in Monty, Cookie and Bandit's names and it will start straight away which is amazing.

I will of course respect their wishes to remain anonymous, but I wanted to share this as it's wonderful to hear some good news in amongst all of the bad. We live in dark times for sure, but I still believe there are many, many people who remain kind thoughtful and selfless.

Bandit will hopefully be carrying on Monty and Cookie's work in schools starting this Thursday when he makes his very first visit to the learning zoo.
