A plant-based dog food company is looking to pay a dog owner £30,000 pro-rata to become vegan, along with their dog, for three months. The pet food brand wants the successful candidate to record their experience of introducing a plant-based diet for them and their dog, monitoring their health, energy levels and behaviour. The candidate will start as soon as possible to coincide with ‘Veganuary’ and will earn £2,500 per month plus expenses to cover their own food, as well as a three-month supply of dog food.

Coinciding with ‘Veganuary’, an annual challenge in January to encourage members of the public to adopt an all-plant lifestyle, the job post states that it hopes the successful candidate can start as soon as possible. A salary of £2,500 per month is available for the unusual three-month role, with expenses to cover all food for the person plus a supply of dog food to cover the job duration.

A weekly questionnaire will be provided to give feedback on factors such as health, energy levels, behaviour, bowel movements, sleep pattern and physical attributes, such as weight, skin, and hair/fur condition.

As well as expenses to cover the dog owner’s vegan food, a selection of recipes will be provided to ensure the candidate has a healthy, balanced diet plan alongside their pet who will be eating the provided plant-based meals.
